From the document: "Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directives (DoDDs) 5124.02, 5136.13, and 6200.04; and Sections 1074a, 10149, and 10206 of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.), this issuance: (1) Establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for deployment health activities. (2) Implements policies for joint and Service-specific deployments to monitor, assess, and prevent disease and injury; control or reduce occupational and environmental health risks; document and link occupational and environmental exposures with deployed personnel; record the daily locations of deployed personnel; and conduct individual deployment-related health assessments. Implementation procedures and deployment health activities are described in detail in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) deployment health procedural instruction."
